Bilingual construction documents, in your department's terminology.
Specifications, drawings, studies and tender documents that meet official-languages requirements, for federal, provincial and municipal owners. One asset, one name, in both languages.

Five consultants, five vocabularies
Federal owners publish in both official languages and Quebec owners in French, and every project brings a new consultant with its own translator. Over a few years the same asset carries five French names across your specifications, drawings and studies, and your project officers end up reconciling them by hand, project after project. Nobody joined a public works department to referee French terms. When the French names drift, a tender addendum or an inspector’s question is where it surfaces. One asset should carry one name, in both languages.

Your organization’s term base
- We build a term base for your organization from your past documents; your technical staff approve it.
- Every document we translate for you, whichever consultant wrote it, comes back in it. Standard specification text returns in the official NMS French.
- You hand it to the next consultant. The term base belongs to you, so your next consultant receives it on day one, and the French in their deliverables can match the last five projects.
One asset, one name.
What we translate for owners

- Specifications and drawings for tenders and construction, including NMS specifications and AutoCAD drawings, returned as DWG with the French written in place.
- Studies and reports: environmental, geotechnical, marine, feasibility and condition assessments.
- Tender documents and addenda, on the publication schedule. See tenders and bids.
- Your choice on each document: an AI draft your staff review in NEOLO, which costs less for routine documents, or review by our specialists for what is published. Two ways to work.
For the rules behind bilingual publication, see our guides to official languages on federal projects and Bill 96 and construction documents.
Technitrad is certified to ISO 17100, ISO 18587 and CAN/CGSB-131.10, one of a handful of Canadian companies certified on all three, and has experience across every NMS section.
